Sorry for the major slacking.
Good news, it has been a busy week for the hunt! I’ll add pictures later tonight. :)
Well, I hate to use the ‘ol myspace mirror pic, but you know how it is. Sitting in your room, trying to take pictures but you’re by yourself…it’s so hard to get that body shot going on. Haha well this is a lovely little number from the local goodwill. Judging from the label (“Jazz” something) I think this used to be dancewear, maybe for a recital? Anyway, it looks great with all kinds of tights, and is really easy to dress up. It hugs all the curves while the dark color slims them. I don’t know. Gary likes it. ;) haha
Velvet Dress: Goodwill
Necklace: Goodwill (From Gary)
Tights: I really have no idea, they’re just black tights :P
Shoes: Secondhand from my cousin Amanda :)
“Tears of Sosuke” by Joe Hisaishi from the Ponyo soundtrack
Hayao Miyazaki is a genius. I first saw his movie “Spirited Away” in 8th grade, and it scared me a little bit. Still does. But it’s an awesome movie. The next one I saw was just recently: Ponyo. This movie is freaking awesome. I turn it on when I have insomnia and fall asleep and have AMAZING dreams. Haha. So this is just a short bit of the score that I really like. Picture a little boy on the ocean, and you have the picture.
Well, kind of. Today AND tomorrow. My boyfriend Gary still lives in Lake Stevens and I am off at Central college-ing it up. Luckily, this weekend I was able to come home and see him. :)
I rather enjoyed my present this year. He baked me heart and kitten shaped cookies!! Although I must say I feel like I can’t eat kittens. As I told Gary, “A kitten is a kitten! No matter how small…or alive.” We shall see. My sweet tooth will probably overcome me sooner or later.
The next part of the present was this rose necklace:

It’s pretty! And the best part is…he got it from Goodwill! I know this would irk some people. But somehow I think it’s even sweeter, because he knows how much I love Goodwill, and he had to look through a bunch of stuff to find something unique instead of picking a generic necklace. That’s the fun of thrifting! I’m glad I have gotten Gary into it too. haha
Tomorrow we’re going to Anthony’s and then Goodwill!! So I hope I find some more awesome things. I know this necklace will be very special to me because he picked it out. :) Remember, you don’t just have to go treasure hunting for yourself. Bring back something one of a kind for someone else!
